Found you through a link posted on twitter by amazingsuperpowers (webcomic). You are a great MC. Grabbing the album now.
Oh yeah, MORE RAPTOR MASK.
Thanks.

This is some of the coolest rap I’ve ever heard, I heard your promo and instantly downloaded the album. If you ever sign on with a record company, I promise you you’ll have at least one fan buying your cd!
Chris on 18 Jun 2009 at 3:56 pm #
i normally hate rap music because it’s entirely unintelligent.
this blew my mind.
Dinosaurs ftw.
Also i think its extremely cool you have it for download
super thumbs up.
Historian on 18 Jun 2009 at 9:02 pm #
^^ In response to Chris: I’m afraid rap isn’t normally unintelligent, just a lot of the music (in general, not just rap) that gets mass-marketed is, because the goal of it is to sell a consumer identity that has broad appeal. Real hip hop has a message, tells stories, or is at least rooted in the personal emotional experience of the artist. Music made with the goal of being expressive and beautiful is often very intelligent, or at least enjoyable in that it is honest powerful human expression. I guess what I’m saying is that there’s a ton of good music out there in every genre and style, you just have to dig for it. I’m glad you like my album, and I hope it will encourage you to explore even more underground music.
Thanks to everyone for stopping by, listening and commenting. The discourse is very exciting and encouraging to me as an artist.

wow, great stuff. something new and a breath of fresh air. can’t wait to see what else you’ll have. i’ll be checking back.
Schuultz on 21 Jun 2009 at 2:26 am #
Wow, I gotta say, great songs, great artwork, great videos. I’ll definitely recommend you along, even though your lyrics are partially really fucking depressing XD
Schuultz on 21 Jun 2009 at 2:31 am #
The only thing I’m somewhat missing is the song about the Crocodiles. I don’t recall it being on the album. Do you have it somewhere as a separate download?
Historian on 22 Jun 2009 at 12:18 am #
^^ In response to Schuultz: You can download the track about crocs on the music page, just click the MUSIC button at the very top. The download is right under the embedded YouTube video.
(this ALBUM page is a sub-page of the MUSIC page)..
Thanks for your support and feedback.

Damn!! This is amazing!! So fresh, so unique, and I love the dark tones. Please make more music, I feel like I owe you my money now
Paradox on 23 Jun 2009 at 10:22 am #
Awesome. For more intelligent rappers, I recommend checking out Greydon Square (a Physics major from Compton), Mr. Gawn and Proclaim, just to name a few. I would pay copious amounts of money to attend if these guys could get together and do a science based world tour. :)
Historian on 24 Jun 2009 at 6:35 am #
^^ In response to Paradox:
I would just like to point out that I am definitely NOT anti-religious like the rappers you’ve recommended above, nor am I strictly pro-science. I am all for exploration, spiritual and scientific, of the world we live in. As (I hope) my album articulates, science and spirituality work for me harmoniously. While science provides me with a system by which to understand how the world works physically, the mythologies and religious traditions of old attempt to communicate and make sense of the emotional reality of how and why it is as astoundingly beautiful as it all is. And I need both, because at the end of the epoch the struggle of life and death has indeed refined the form… somehow the horror and strife and blood and pain has made it more beautiful and aware than its predecessors… And soon it is wondering WHY??!?
If I must take a stance, I am adamantly pro-adventure.

Hey,
I just wanted to say that, in all honesty, this is one of the best rap albums I’ve heard. I love Thrive, In Mountains, and Sunspider. In Mountains is so poetic and you do such a good job at creating imagery of cold and frozen wastelands. You definitely have got some talent, man. I can’t wait to hear more from you.
Speaking of adventures, if one happened to feel so inclined, is there a way we can fund your adventures by buying the album? I’m glad I’m able to hear it for free, but I would like to pay for it. =D

This is funny. Your music is good, and some is even built on the parameters of entering competitions, and it’s free to download. While music that tells everyone “let’s get wasted, make money or die trying, and other garbage”, you got a track called eat your vegetables. I remember Mitch Hedburg doing stand up and telling people not to cheer him on when he drank, but to cheer people on when they take a vitamin.
Jesus on 31 Oct 2009 at 6:48 am #
the funny part is that crap is sold, your good tunes are free

Beautiful music. “Open Your Eyes” definately resonates deep…deep…deep. “…organized according to holy symmetry”, yes sir! And indeed, I’ve seen the laser beam creatures, with hooded glowing robes of changing color, in a dream. I descended undergound and was suddenly in their presence, they paid me no attention but with heads lowered they marched along their path. Their territory was guarded by glowing barbed wire, though in the dream world we may percieve varying degrees of what is an actual place; the message can become garbled. Regardless, we, as a race, will share these experiences, and that’s the main point. And these beings may not all be evil, perhaps reflections of inner dual reality…they may be polarized towards an ill-purpose, but they should present a challenge to us all, for we all possess energies and desires that, from time to time, are non-conducive to planetary progression. “…align with light and smite all of these hateful enemies” -peace, love, and the will to create balance

Hey man i love your music but i cant put your donwloaded album in my itunes… plz help me thx !
Historian on 10 Jul 2010 at 7:34 pm #
My album comes in a .zip file to make it small enough to download.
In order to add it to your itunes you need to first unzip the file (usually you can just double click on it and your computer will know what to do)
Once its unzipped you will find a folder called “Earth Beasts Awaken” in the same place as the zip file (usually your desktop).
Inside the folder are the tracks and artwork for my album. Simply drag them into iTunes to add them to your library.
I hope that helps.

Most of the time, I can’t stand rap music, but ever since my brother introduced me to your music, I’ve been hooked. Can’t wait to hear some more stuff.
P.S. Best Songs on your album are Thousand Ghosts, Thrive, Call to Awaken, and Operation Spearhead.
BlueMango on 07 Jan 2011 at 2:03 pm #
all of your work pales in comparison to open your eyes. i’d say that that song is the perfectly egocentric piece which holds all of your other work to its own standard. and of course, as goa gil said in his youtube excerpt…”without ego, cosmic ego, there would be no creation at all… all of these things are tools for the soul to…um…come into the world…and experience the things of the world…and find fulfillment and completion…and we should see them as tools” (last hippie standing – goa gil video) there’s a very clean drawing power in the open your eyes video and music, even though it doesnt necessarily give practical advice for normal and everyday mortal life. nevertheless, amazingly satisfying

The album Earth Beasts Awaken was amazing, I purchased one of the hand-painted copies and I love it. The artwork is ridiculous, love the lyricism. Your music is amazing and inspiring, and i love the music videos.
Jonathan Ferreri Jr on 17 Jan 2013 at 5:06 am #
My mind was thoroughly blown by the truth portrayed in your latest song.
Perfectly and intricately worded. Thank you for being my newest Lyrical influence.
I’m sure open eyes are still unfathomable at times.
You show me that there are many more conscious artists out there.
Can’t wait to listen to this album front to back!
